In mid-May, the Sun will transit from Aries to Taurus, where it will join Mars and Mercury, and will aspect Saturn by 7th sight. As Saturn and Sun are mutual enemies, and first class malefics, this transit will have mundane effects for those in leadership positions, as Sun takes its supreme position for granted in Taurus. This is indicating fall from power for those in high office, particularly those who take their office and wealth for granted.
Mars is going to aspect Saturn (major enemies) (by seventh sight) for some time; Currently, Mars is in Taurus in Krittika nakshatra – ruled by Sun, which is a very strong place for Mars sending pitta energy – fire – aspecting Scorpio its other owned sign. Mars also is Cancer’s yogkaraka and aspecting its friend Jupiter in exaltation in Cancer. This can cause increase in water problems, both in mundane (public) and personal levels. We need to be aware of floods, outside the home and inside the home and business.
Mars is also aspecting the sign Cancer (and is the yogkaraka (planet of power) for Cancer) and the sign Scorpio where Saturn (major enemy of Mars) is posited. This will be a challenging time for Cancer Moon or Lagna, and also the Cancer house for any natal chart.
On May 15 the Sun moves to Taurus where it will aspect Mars, Mercury and Saturn, and be aspected by Rahu, Jupiter will exactly aspect the Moon, which is nice, but a few minutes later Mars will aspect Saturn by degree, so we must be selecting a good muhurtam – check your panchang – for travel times on Friday the 15th.
Sun in Taurus
Taurus (Vrishabha) is ruled by Surya’s enemy Shukra (Venus) . One’s natural genius seeks to be in the center of financial wealth , fleshly beauty, social harmony, and sensual pleasure. Sun in Taurus produces natives who are conservationist, a sensualist, a pleasure-monger.
Sun in Taurus multiplies ahamkara, the ego. The extent of this multiplication of ahamkara depends on the placement and character of aesthetic, pleasure-loving Venus. At this time of Sun transit of Taurus, Venus is adjacent in Mithuna-Gemini, and Sun will be 12th from the Lord of Taurus. This indicates that Sun is in a place of loss, deprivation, imprisonment, fall, disgrace, and forced removal from the public eye. Mundane astrology designates the 12th house as site of hospitals, prisons, asylums, crimes and investigation authorities. Due Sun being placed 12 from its Lord Venus, there can be a loss of the aesthetic environment of Venus.

Sun in Taurus will be a significator of people in public office with long tenure or sinecure – people in positions that pay amply but there is no real work.
